We strip and re-cover in sections rather than opening the whole roof at once, so your home is never left exposed overnight. If heavy rain is forecast mid-job we sheet up properly — we would rather lose half a day than risk water reaching your ceilings.

Do You Need Planning Permission for a New Roof?

For a like-for-like replacement — same materials, same roof line, same height — you will not normally need planning permission, as the work falls under permitted development. The picture changes if your property is listed, sits in a conservation area, or if you are altering the shape or height of the roof.

Warwickshire has a large number of conservation areas, particularly around Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and Kenilworth, where the council may require you to match original materials — natural slate or clay tile rather than concrete.
